"For a production company in the food industry, we designed an integration platform connecting six suppliers to their ERP system. What started as an initial consultation about data architecture resulted in a fully automated ordering process."
"A healthcare organization wanted better insights from their patient data. After an initial conversation about their BI challenges, we built a data warehouse with dashboards now used daily by management."
The large consulting firms provide advice and depart. Boutique firms build, but often lack architectural depth. We do both. And we stay.
"Advice without execution is an opinion. Execution without architecture is a time bomb."

- What is a Strategic Data Consultation?
- A Strategic Data Consultation is a free 45- to 60-minute introductory conversation with a senior data and integration specialist from House of Data. You discuss your specific data challenge: where the data lives, what is not working, and which directions are realistic. You get honest advice on what fits your situation and what does not. No sales pitch, no standard deck. By the end you know whether we can answer your question, and if so: which next steps make sense.
- Who is this consultation for?
- The consultation is intended for IT managers, CFOs, executives and controllers responsible for data and reporting in their organization. Typical situations: you are facing a platform choice, your reporting is stuck, you doubt a vendor proposal, or you want to spar before launching a tender. We speak with both technically experienced people and with executives who do not need to understand the technology themselves. Preparation is welcome but not required.
- What do I need to bring or prepare?
- Nothing, in principle. A short description of your situation in the contact form is enough. Do you have an architecture diagram or sample report on hand? Send it along or show it during the call. We often work with clients who do not yet have a clear picture of what is possible: that is exactly the right moment to have the conversation. We ask the questions needed to bring your situation into focus.
- How does the conversation actually work?
- We start with your context: company, systems, goal. Then we go deeper on the specific question. Which data is available, where does it live, what is missing? We outline possible directions, name what is realistic and where the pitfalls are. No slides, but an open conversation in which we ask follow-up questions on the details that matter. At the end, one of us summarizes: this is what you describe, this is what we see, these are the logical next steps.
- What happens after the conversation?
- After the conversation you receive a short written summary of what we discussed and which next steps we recommend. That could be an architecture proposal, a quick scan, a proof of concept, or the advice to first take certain steps internally. You decide whether we move forward, and at what pace. No follow-up from us if you do not want it. Available again if you come back later with additional questions.
- Which topics are suitable for the conversation?
- Three main types: data and integration (connecting systems, setting up a data platform, API architecture), BI and reporting (from raw data to reliable dashboards and self-service analytics), and IT strategy (cloud choices, vendor assessment, roadmap). More concretely: a Business Central environment that does not report the way it should, an EHR with no usable data output, a Power BI project that has stalled, or the question whether to migrate to Google Cloud or Azure. We only discuss topics where we have hands-on production experience.
- Is there any follow-up obligation?
- No. The conversation is free and without obligation. We do not send a quote afterwards and we do not put you on a mailing list. Many conversations do lead to follow-up work because clients realize after 60 minutes that we understand where they stand. Some conversations result in the advice to first take certain steps internally, and we are happy with that outcome too. We prefer an honest conversation that leads nowhere to a project that does not fit you.
